1 Troy Oz. Canadian Silver Maple Leaf Coin
The obverse (front) of the coin features a likeness of Queen Elizabeth II.
The reverse (back) of the coin depicts the Canadian Maple Leaf. Annual variations for the coin in the past have included various design changes, including proof releases, a colored maple leaf, and a 2009 issue commemorating the 2010 Winter Olympics. The universal element in all silver maple leaf coins is the phrase “Fine Silver 1 oz. Argent Pur” along the bottom of the reverse of the coin.
Each coin is legal Canadian tender, with a face value of C$5, guaranteed by the Government of Canada for its weight and purity.
These coins are eligible for Precious Metals IRA’s.
The Canadian Silver Maple Leaf was first introduced in 1988, and is minted by the Royal Canadian Mint.
Each coin is 1 troy oz. of .9999 pure silver, the highest among silver bullion coins; the industry standard is 99.9% purity.
